Cannabis Grower – Viwe talks about his journey in building Super Miracle SA

My weird and wonderful journey with cannabis started in the year 2020. During a pandemic and mental exhaustion, the universe offered a proverbial olive branch. The moment of revelation was after a particularly shady deal in a rough part of town, when at the time I had also been a bit unsatisfied with my lack of hobbies. All this made for an unhappy chappy and so the stage was set and the next step obvious; I had to become a cannabis farmer!

My first attempt at cultivation was in a cardboard box where I applied the lessons I had learned from the reputable university of YouTube. Everything went well with the makeshift grow so I decided to get decent equipment and have not stopped growing for a second since.

The South African cannabis industry is currently in its infancy and as expected it will take time for legislation to establish an operating market. With the previous point considered, I decided the best route forward was to create a social media page via Instagram where I could showcase my budding skill and establish myself amongst the community.

@SUPERMIRACLESA may have started as my personal grow journal but it has quickly evolved to a platform that caters to beginner growers, creates social media buzz for related events and facilitates discussion amongst established cultivators.

Our cannabis industry is blessed to have many skilled individuals that can contribute towards making it world-class. If government institutions can work with the private sector and the existing cannabis community, the road towards success becomes easier and faster to navigate. There are plenty opportunities for everyone and all it will take is getting our hands a little dirty, the right way.
