I recently saw Lebo Mashile for the first time.
I have followed her since her days of latitude, and I had always dreamed of how the experience would be. The moment she walked on to the stage; I was taken. Her stage presence was so glorious I felt so blessed.
I love how creatives carry themselves spiritually through their work. The grace & delicacy with which they translate complex spiritual emotion is brilliant, The atmosphere felt very enriching & nourishing.
Hosted at Linder Auditorium at Wit’s Education Campus, we experienced a blend between the old and the new in collaboration to “create awareness on the struggle of at least 89.3 million forcibly displaced people around the world”. The story of displacement is particularly important in the context of South Africa because of the raging Xenephobia that tends to arise in different communities across the country.
The show was hosted by Lebo Mashile, and featured a star-studded list of guests including:
PJ Powers, Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, Pops Mohamed, Neil Solomon Bienvenue, Msaki, Thandi Ntuli, Rocksteady Dub & a full orchestra (Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra led by Kutlwano Masote).

We heard from the Pianist Thandi Ntuli, Please listen to her work here .

Msaki’s voice took over the hall and filled the house with this warmth. I felt so treated & cared for.
What an absolute treat !
I loved the initiative , the poetry , the stories.
